Handmade Real Sycamore Seed Silver Necklace 2

Nature captured in silver.

This sycamore seed pot, also called samara, comes from the sycamore tree in front of my now previous apartment. I picked it up in summer and painted layer upon layer of pure silver on it, until it got the right thickness and texture. During the kiln firing the seed pot burns off completely and leaves a shiny silver imprint behind.

What's special about them: 

Because the way they are made, they are inverted - like a mirrored imprint of the seed, which is very unusual. The organic edges  around the seeds are smooth and highly polished to give them a more refined and finished look.

This pendant is entirely handcrafted with recycled fine silver and sterling silver. The silver chain is 18inch (ca. 45cm) long, the pendant is 3 cm long. It comes lovingly gift wrapped in a box and an organza pouch.
